in organization development text books. He has twice been a Keynote speaker at
the New Zealand Organisation for Quality annual conference. He has conducted
training for managers from senior executive to first line levels in every
hemisphere and in diverse cultural situations. His model of training course
development has been featured in a prominent human resources text for four
revised editions over the past 15 years. Richard’s favorite management philosopher
is the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland – the advice given Alice at the
fork in the road is the underlying principle of all good management, i.e., that
you have to know where you are trying to get to in order to choose a path. Richard
